Security Tools

Not all security tools are created equal, and there are a wide variety to choose from depending on your needs. This list represents the best of the best in the world of online security, from personal anti-virus and firewall software to secure web hosting and password managers, this list has you covered.

Password Managers:

Roboform – This is by far our favorite password manager, and highly recommended. It works across all major devices, uses strong encryption, and even integrates with mobile Safari.

Dashlane – Not quite as robust as Roboform, and more expensive, but still a very good password manager.

Anti-Virus Software:

Avast – Hands down, Avast is one of the most robust anti-virus, anti-malware, and firewall options available. It has a sandbox feature, the ability to keep your other programs up-to-date, as well as many other benefits. We strongly recommend this.

Kaspersky Labs – Another good anti-virus option. They have particularly good options for businesses.

Webroot – Yet another awesome option in this space.

Malwarebytes – This tool is one of the best malware scanners available, as it is designed to prevent malware from blocking it from running (some malware can do that).

VPN Providers (Virtual Private Networks)

Website Security

WPengine – A highly secure and reliable WordPress hosting company specializing in speed and security. Not cheap, but if your website is your lifeblood and you use WordPress as your CMS, you can’t do better than WPengine.

Sucuri Security – If your website has been hacked, Sucuri can un-hack it and help prevent it from being hacked in the future.
